Rescheduling - if you need to reschedule or cancel please try to do so with as much advance notice as possible, this provides me with time to fill the spot. If there is a pattern of 3 or more reschedules before an appointment is kept, a 50% session cost charge will need to be paid before a client can book again.
Clients will not be charged for cancellations or reschedules outside of the 24 hour window. A fee of 50% of the session cost will be charged for scheduling changes made within 24 hours of the appointment. A 80% session cost will be charged for cancellations within 8 hours. Illness is generally included in these policies, however there may be individual exceptions. You have the option to send someone in your place if you’re unable to make it as long as we’ve confirmed.
For new clients — plan to arrive 10 min early to allow time to find the space and for a longer check-in. Existing clients — try to arrive 5 min before your appointment so that we can start your session on time.
If you are late, the appointment will still end at the planned time and you will be charged the full cost of the session. If a client is 20 minutes or more late for an appointment, the session will be canceled and the full cost charged.
I am self-employed and my income depends on a full schedule, these policies protect my time and capacity to continue this work. Thank you for your understanding.

No Shows are charged the full appointment amount. A session is determined to be a “no show” if the client is more than 15 minutes late without any communication.

If you are sick, recovering from respiratory illness, starting to feel symptoms, or have been exposed to COVID in the last 5 days, please reschedule your appointment. My goal is to keep us both healthy and reduce transmission of contagious illness. I wear a KN-95 mask during all sessions, and am happy to provide a mask if you would like to wear one. I have auto-immune conditions and still take COVID seriously for the health of all my clients and my household.

The Starling Somatics studio is wheelchair accessible. There is a sloped <2 inch threshold to enter the studio, and access through a driveway gate is available for wheelchair users. There is also a smaller gate that enters the property with a 5 inch step into the yard around the studio. A single stall bathroom in the studio with space to turn around for those who use mobility aids is available for clients.
The space is low-scent and can be made close to scent-free upon request. All lubricants used are scent-free. There is an air purifier and many plants in a space filled with natural light.
The massage table has a working weight of 600lbs and a static weight limit of 2,400lbs. I have side table extenders and many bolster options available.
I cannot guarantee that my practice will be 100% accessible and comfortable for every client given individual needs and my own limitations. I commit to doing my best to create a safe environment, to listen to clients, establish communication-forward sessions, and remind clients of options and their agency.
The safety of the client and therapist are extremely important to the continuation of this work. Any sexual/sexually suggestive behavior or communication will result in the immediate termination of the session and the full session cost charged to the client. The following are not tolerated at Starling Somatics and will also result in the end of the session and a full session cost charge: dehumanizing or hateful speech about marginalized communities, demeaning or aggressive behavior or comments.
If you are sick, recovering from respiratory illness, starting to feel symptoms, or have been exposed to COVID in the last 7 days please reschedule your appointment. My goal is to keep us both healthy and reduce transmission of contagious illness. I have auto-immune conditions and still take COVID seriously.

With lived experience as a queer, nonbinary, & neurodivergent person, I approach my clients and work with a deep understanding for the need for trauma-informed care. My practice is to create and hold a comfortable space for clients to relax into. Trauma lives in all of our bodies differently, so communication is essential. I aim to create an environment where clients feel comfortable and are clear about mutual consent, communication, and the knowledge that they can always opt out of work in specific areas or styles. As a client, you always have options and agency in the treatment space.
All bodies are deserving of care and the opportunity to receive therapeutic & healing work. Feel free to contact me with any questions about, or with specific needs around, trauma-informed care, accessibility, and safety.

Bodywork sessions can be adapted for clients whether they are clothed, partially clothed, or undressed. We will find a way to work together based off however you are most comfortable and always with appropriate draping. The client will be underneath a sheet and blanket, and the area that I’m working on will be modestly undraped. Where skin is exposed massage cream/lotion, gel, or oil will usually be applied. Please reach out if you have additional questions.

I accept cash, venmo and credit cards via Square. Due to credit card processing fees, card prices include a 3.3% add-on.
Gratuity/tips are included in the prices listed on the booking page. This is to ensure a livable wage for me and to reduce stress and confusion for clients. If you have disposable income or inherited wealth, you are welcome to offer more to support the sustainability of inclusive rate sessions.
2.5% of regular-rate proceeds are donated to TGIJP monthly.
If the Inclusive Rates prohibit you from accessing bodywork, email me and we will assess if there is a rate that would enable us to work together.

Word of mouth referrals are how I’ve met many of my clients. These are so appreciated! For every referral you provide who books with me, you will receive 10% off your next massage. Just note the name of the referred person when you book next, and I will apply the discount.
This policy is designed to support the building of my practice. I’m so grateful for your support.

I do not currently take any medical insurance.
I am planning to take MVA insurance for clients recovering from auto accidents in the near future.
If you have massage coverage under Providence or Regence, I encourage you to schedule with me at Lavender Moon Wellness. Free benefit checks are provided.
